BCS Launches Board of Directors

Today, marks a significant milestone in the Summit’s ongoing mission to usher in a new era of collaboration and cooperation between freight brokers and trucking companies. 

It is our pleasure to announce the forming of our Board of Directors! In addition to bringing a wealth of experience, expertise, and strategic insights from different sectors of the logistics spectrum, each of them is 100% committed to making our industry a better, more partnership-driven space for brokers and carriers.

So, without further ado…here they are:

It is our pleasure to announce the forming of our Board of Directors! In addition to bringing a wealth of experience, expertise, and strategic insights from different sectors of the logistics spectrum, each of them is 100% committed to making our industry a better, more partnership-driven space for brokers and carriers.

Dawn Salvucci-Favier (Co-Chair; Director of Content):  Dawn Salvucci-Favier brings more than 30 years of transportation management industry leadership to Greenscreens.ai. She has spent 20+ years leading Global Product Strategy & Management at major Transportation Management System (TMS) providers, including Manugistics, JDA Software (now Blue Yonder), Shippers Commonwealth, RedPrairie, and most recently 3Gtms. In each role, Dawn developed and executed a vision and strategy for delivering industry-leading technology solutions to the Logistics market. She also brings extensive 3PL & Shipper Logistics operations experience, having spent time as Director of Logistics Services for NFI Interactive Logistics and starting her career in the inbound transportation management function at Staples, Inc and The TJX Companies. 

Robert Bain (Director of Broker Relations):  Robert Bain, more commonly known as “Bain”, has been engaged with the transportation and logistics industry for nearly 2 decades. He has worked in a variety of operations and sales roles, from seat level all the way to VP of operations at companies such as CRST, UberFreight, Shipwell, Quad  Bain currently consults with the team at GLCS and resides in the Chicagoland area with his wife Nikki, 4 children and granddaughter. When not engaged with family, clients, or in thought leadership within the sector via public appearances, interviews, and podcasts, Bain is typically in the gym maintaining his title of “The Strongest Man in Logistics”. He boasts personal bests in competition of a 1063 lb Squat, 610 lb bench, 705 lb deadlift, and 2300 lb total.

Troy Wiitanen (Director of Carrier Relations):  Troy Wiitanen has 23 years of transportation experience as a Freight Broker, Strategic Account Manager, Operations Manager, Business Development and Pricing. In that time, he has also started 2 freight brokerage operations from scratch, oversaw a $150M brokerage and directed warehousing operations for a large 3PL. He currently oversees the National Sales and Pricing Teams for Leonard’s Express and is an active member of the TIA and participates as an industry advocate at their Policy Forum in Washington every year. 

Trey Griggs (Director of Marketing): Trey is the Founder and Chief Encouragement Officer of BETA Consulting Group, dedicated to building great brands within the transportation industry.  His company focuses on crafting messaging that engages prospects, as well as creating customer testimonial videos to build social proof.  He is also the host of Word on the Street, Standing Out & the EDGE, as well as a highly sought-after event emcee, author and keynote speaker, focusing on sales, marketing, leadership and self-awareness. 

Together, these exceptional individuals will forge the patch forward for the Summit; building it into a dynamic force within the logistics industry and improving it for both freight brokers and trucking companies.

At Broker Carrier Summit, we believe that strong partnerships are the cornerstone of a thriving logistics industry.  As Dan has said from the beginning, “The future of logistics is partnership.” The formation of this board represents our unwavering commitment to driving positive change and creating a more collaborative and profitable environment for all stakeholders.
